There was a time in my life that I was afraid of change because I did not know the alternative. Sometimes in an unhappy state of mind, the thought of changing is more scary than staying in the unhappy situation.
But what I’ve found is that change is sometimes as simple as adding or subtracting from your routine. Maybe you take a different way to work, or maybe you change your breakfast, or maybe you drink a glass of water at every meal.
Personally, I prefer to focus on adding things in so that I will naturally drop the things that won’t serve me. Whereas if I focus on taking out or limiting something, it’s easy to feel restricted and punished.
I’ll give you an example from my life. Recently I had been trying to lose weight and get more energy but was having trouble. As with most women my age, I blame hormones, as I actually enjoy exercise, and I eat ok (not great but not horrible either). I was wanting to change but was having trouble staying committed. I changed my method and just focused on two things I knew I needed to add in. That is when I dropped 4% body fat in two months! The first thing I did was to add in bioactive peptides daily and the second thing I did was to get a gym membership with classes that I knew I would love. I ended up going almost everyday to the gym and I was more motivated to walk/run at home. I felt more energy and I was gaining muscle and losing fat. The catalyst was the peptides and exercise combo but the result was consistent change to the areas I felt stuck in previously.
As you can see, routines quite literally create your reality. You want to make changes, add into your life one thing you know you need!
